      Does Chromology only sell epoxy resins coatings?
      Along with epoxy resins we also offer other resins such as acrylics, siloxanes, polyurethanes, polyaspartics, polyurea (hot spray and cold applied), industrial grade paints, bitumen extended urethanes, along with concrete repairing and finishing materials.
      What exactly is a coating system?
      A coating system is created by combining different coating products, including as an example, an epoxy primer, an epoxy base coat, and a polyurethane or polyaspartic top coat. These systems are customized to fulfill specific requirements such as chemical resistance, tolerance to traffic, antistatic properties, installation speed and aesthetic preferences. The customization is based on factors like the type of concrete, application conditions, and the intended use of the floor.
      Are floor coating resins only used for concrete applications?
      Although a concrete substrate is the most widely coated surface with resin coatings, wood, tile, metal surfaces can also accept resin coatings with the proper preparation and selection of resins.
      Does the concrete surface require cleaning prior to applying epoxy or other resin coatings?

Mechanical methods are the most effective for preparing concrete surfaces, as they help open the pores and create a suitable profile for bonding or anchoring. Diamond grinding and shot blasting are the two most commonly used methods for surface preparation.
      In healthcare facilities or any other setting where zero dust tolerance is demanded, we do offer a non-mechanical, environmentally safe liquid preparation material. This material effectively prepares the concrete surface, attaining a surface profiling between CSP 1-4.
      The criteria and requirements for concrete preparation should adhere to the guidelines set by the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI).
